For Sale

Our goat sales policy

We keep a list of those interested in specific breedings, however a kid is only truly reserved once born and deemed healthy, and a non-refundable deposit of 50% is received.

We do reserve the right to retain any kid at any time. If we decide to keep/retain a kid that is reserved the deposits will be refunded in full.

We do not hold kids or adults!

If you prefer to see the kids/adults before placing deposit, we can accommodate that, but we will not hold without a deposit. That means the kid/adult is still available and can be sold to another buyer meanwhile.

Kids

Our kids are sold as bottle babies, usually between 2-4 weeks of age, depending on the buyer's experience with bottle babies.

Buyers are expected to pick the kid/adult up within two weeks of the date the deposit was received. If not picked up within two weeks of the deposit, the buyer is expected to pay a fee of $3 per day to cover milk/feed/hay/care cost.

Kids will be disbudded, tattooed, and well trained to the bottle.

We start coccidia prevention at 3 days old in the form of Calf Pro, and kids will be sent to the new home with a few doses of Calf Pro, and goat milk (if needed) to easy their transition.

Each one of them will be inspected for mites, famacha, temperature, hooves, teats, and testicules (for intact bucks) before leaving the farm.

Once it leaves the farm, the health of the goat is the new owner's responsibility. We are, however, happy to help in any way we can.

A new addition is always fun! However, it can be stressful on a goat.

We always recommend a quarantine period of at least 30 days. A dry lot environment, fecal, and biosecurity tests are always suggested.

Your herd management, environment, feed, and hay can affect your goat's health; therefore, we make no guarantees on the parasite resistance, dairy production, height, or quality of any goat.

Wethers

If a buck kid is sold as wether at less than 8 weeks old, the kid will be intact when it leaves the farm. It will be the new owner's responsibility to have the kid wethered at the appropriate time. Bucks sold as wethers are not meant for breeding, unless otherwise noted. If the new owner fails to wether a buck as agreed at the time of the sale, papers will not be provided. The buyer will also not be our first choice when placing new kids in the future.

Transport

Transport is the buyer's responsibility. We can work with transport services.

If traveling out of state buyer is responsible for fees associated with Health Certificate & Vet Check. Fee is not part of the deposit.

Livestock Veterinarian and Mentor

Finding a good livestock veterinarian WITH experience with goats BEFORE you acquire a goat is extremely important! We also believe having a mentor on your corner makes a huge difference on the journey.
